2004 plans

It was officially announced today at Autosport International that Steve Wood and Stuart Scott will be racing their newly acquired Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car in the British GT Championship.

The news can also be confirmed that Mike Jordan's Eurotech Team will be engineering the car for the championship and that they will be part of a three-car assault on both the N-GT class and Cup class. Former British GT Champion Mike Jordan's Eurotech team will be returning full time to the domestic series after a year in the FIA GTs.

The team will run a N-GT class Porsche 911 GT3-RS for Jordan and Mark Sumpter, alongside the similar machine for David and Godfrey Jones. The cars ran in the FIA GTs last season, and have been refurbished for the British series.

Steve and Stuart consider it a huge boost to be run by such a team with a proven track record for winning championships and relish the task ahead. "We are almost bouncing with excitement at the prospect and are both looking forward to racing a car without the need for on-going development as with last year's Golf" said Stuart.

The popular Wood-Scott pairing will be testing at Thruxton on Friday 20th February, prior to the Team travelling to Spain at the end of the month for a Dunlop Tyre test.

Cambridge Business Travel has been sponsoring Mark Sumpter for some time and in 2004 the Porsche will again feature the CBT logo on the rear wing.
