Disappointment today for Steve and Stuart as it was realised that the car won't be ready for the first round of the European Endurance Racing at Silverstone in two weeks time.
The car is being built by Frazero Racing and was supposed
to be completed in time for a shake-down and testing prior to the race.
Problems with the wiring loom and pistons has delayed the build and
has meant that the Golf would not be ready until just before the first
test session on the Friday.
'We would need to use the official test day to run in the car and then the qualifying and race to test which we don't want to do. As both of us want to get out there and win we have decided to postpone our season start until the second round at Brands Hatch at Easter' explained Steven Wood.
The boys are not even going to watch the race as Stuart Scott explained. 'We have been offered cars to drive but this has given us a chance of going away for a few days of winter sun and relaxation prior to a busy race season. '
The revised test season will be at Rockingham on the 4th April.
In other news the livery design has been approved and the car should look stunning and distinctive on track.
