Porsches line up for Bill Taylor Memorial race. A fabulous diversity of racing Porsches will line up for Bill Taylor Memorial race at Silverstone on Saturday 8th November.
Organised by the Porsche Club GB, the annual end-of-season race will be held in its traditional one-hour, two-driver format on the Silverstone national circuit. more

Mechanical gremlins blighted the GulfAir team's hopes of success in yesterday's (Sun) Spa 1000km race, but the team's Golf GTI was one of the stars of the event. Former British GTO sports car champion Mark Sumpter is to be part of the Team GulfAir squad for next Sunday's (31 Aug) Spa 1000km race at Spa-Francorchamps. Sumpter,34, will join the team's regular drivers Stuart Scott and Steve Wood for the Belgian round of the British GT Championship, sharing the driving duties in their turbocharged Golf GTI. more

Mechanical gremlins put paid to a strong run from the GulfAir Racing team in the British GT Championship at Rockingham yesterday(Sun).Driven by Steve Wood and Stuart Scott, the squad's turbocharged Volkswagen Golf GTI was halted by a gearbox problem after 23 laps of the Northamptonshire circuit."We were in a strong position," said Steve. "I started the race and we were up to third in class when I handed the Golf over to Stuart and we were looking well set for a podium placing." more

Fresh from their stunning seventh overall placing in the British GT Championship at Oulton Park, the GulfAir racing team is in action once more this Sunday (3 Aug).
The venue for the latest round of the championship is the new Rockingham track in Northamptonshire, a tight and twisty circuit which should suit the team's turbocharged Volkswagen Golf GTI. A new factory-sourced competition gearbox will, it is hoped, make a big difference to the car's performance. more

After setting a strong pace in the early stages of the Castle Combe round of the British GT Championship, the Team GulfAir Golf GTI heads for Oulton Park in Cheshire this weekend (12/13 Jul) with hopes high for a good result. The Golf, driven by Ruislip's Steve Wood, ran rings around many of its GTC class rivals at Combe to set the third-quickest race lap time, but was stopped by a gearbox problem before it could complete the race. An excellent start to the racing season for Steve and Stuart at a dry and windy Brands Hatch. The new Golf Mark IV was only started 3 days previously and it has already shown its reliability and speed. Qualifying in the morning was the first time the team had run the car at full race speeds and against competition. The car was exceptional and finished in 4th place overall and on pole in their class. more
