After the disappointment at Estoril when car and drivers were separated by snow, it was back to the business of testing at Donington on Tuesday.
"It was disappointing to miss out on three days at Estoril, but we're making up for it very quickly. Stuart and I are setting some good times now. In fact, we've made some massive leaps on times, and the car is running fantastically well. I can see why we had so much trouble against the Porsches last year. Neil and the other guys at JWR really know their stuff when setting up these cars, and they've been a great help to us."
It was a cold but dry open session with all manner of cars on the circuit which caused a few problems. "Steve was lucky with no red flags during his run whereas I had 3", explained Stuart.
"We've had a bit of a clutch problem, but Stuart and I are really starting to build our confidence now. We covered about 45 laps this morning, and we'll be back next week to get some more time in here, the last chance before the first races next month."
