Bahrain GT Festival

Due to work commitments, Steve is unable to race in Bahrain at the first ever GT Festival in November, so rather than miss the event, Stuart and Steve asked their old Volkswagen Racing Cup rival Nick Adcock to join Stuart. They will be racing the Wood-Scott Porsche 911 GT3 with backing from Cambridge Business Travel, ART and for this event additional backing from Raw Media.

Said Stuart: "It's a real shame Steve won't be able to make it, but I know that Nick will be a really good teammate - he's really pumped up about it. We're both are looking forward to Bahrain and to taking part in the inaugural GT Festival there."

Hopefully, this will become an annual event and Steve will get the chance next year, work permiting. Steve is gutted that he is unable to participate this year but wishes Nick well in his first ever GT race.

Nick's Clio racing should help him mix it with the front runners as he has been racing at the front end in the Renault Clio championship. This will however be Nick's first taste of GT racing and his first outing in a Porsche GT3.

"It's a great opportunity and I'm really looking forward to it," said Nick, who finished sixth in this year's ELF/BTE Lawline Renault Clio Cup. "Stuart is an old friend and racing rival and when the chance came to join him and Jordan Warnock Racing in Bahrain, I leapt at it. I had planned to do the Bathurst 24-hour race but that was cancelled, so Bahrain is an excellent alternative."

Herefordshire-based Nick Adcock, 39, started his racing career in 2000 at the wheel of a Vento VR6 in the Volkswagen Racing Cup. He switched to Beetle power for 2001 and 2002, finishing sixth and fourth overall in the championship in respective seasons, with several outright and class victories. He switched to Clio racing in 2003, and was eighth overall in his debut Renault season.
