A first for Steve and Stuart next weekend - racing at Mondello outside Dublin. The circuit is long, tight and twisty with a challenging first corner. Not all the grid is going as there is a maximum number of cars that can start but the cup class will be there in force.

There has been an upgrade to the car with a sequential gearbox being fitted. Mike Jordan took the car out at Mallory Park last week and gave it a good shake down in the rain and was very pleased with it.

Steve was away so Stuart had the car for the whole day. "It made a difference to have so long in the car and I haven't tested for so long on my own since my VW Cup days". Mike Jordan set Stuart some goals in lap times which he managed and gave him some pointers on how to get the best out of the Porsche. "It is a very different car to the Golf to drive and I am finding it difficult to heel and toe as I have smaller feet than Steve but I am working on it"

Steve and Stuart get their bikes out for breast cancer charity. They are to take part in the London to Cambridge cycle ride on July 25th. The route will take them from Lee Valley Park through Nazeing, Albury, Clavering, Hinxton (Stuart used to live there) and finishes at Midsummer Common at Cambridge. Details on how to sponsor them etc to follow.
