Stuart Scott and Steve Wood have been mainstays of the GT3 (formerly Cup) Class of the British GT Championship, having started out with that fascinating Volkswagen Golf, then moved to a Porsche 911 GT3 - but the Porsche was sold recently, and Stuart Scott has just purchased its replacement, a V8Star Jaguar.

It arrived in the UK yesterday (October 26).

"It's chassis V8S - 15," says the new owner, "and started its racing career on March 28, 2001, with Tomas Scheckter racing it at Oschersleben. "Ellen Lohr then raced it in 2002. We believe it started out with a Mondeo body, but only ever raced as a Jaguar." |

Scott is working on a livery for the car, which will be "very different" from the current green - and will feature Cambridge Business Travel very prominently, as the Porsche did.
"The Chevy V8 sounds superb," says the excited owner. "I'm looking forward to trying the 500 bhp in a test at Donington or Silverstone within the next couple of weeks.

"I'm looking at the Britcar V8 series for next year: we'll have to see how that idea develops."
Meanwhile the GulfAir Golf has almost finished receiving some mods. at Eurotech, and that should be shaken down soon too.
Stuart Scott hasn't decided what he is going to do with the Golf, but he can't bring himself to sell it.
