“We gave the V8 Star an airing today (Saturday) at Silverstone with Steve Wood, Nick Adcock, Chris Ryan and myself all freezing our nuts off. I also thought what a good team that the four of us would make this year with the XKR for the Britcar 24 Hours.” Something to follow up there I am sure.
That event saw Scot running one of the new GT3 Jaguars in 2007 - and the V8 Star's livery now matches that of the GT3 machines.
“Xero Competition ran the car today and it was the first time it had turned a wheel since the Britcar 24 Hours in 2006,” continues Stuart Scott. “It went really well, with laps in the 61 seconds bracket coming quite easily on old tyres.
Dave Beecroft will look after the car and will take it back to have a look at the engine/gearbox as nothing other than the paint has been touched for nearly 18 months.
“I’d love to get it out in something this year as it is much too good to just keep in the garage. Richard Lloyd did come up to Silverstone today to have a look and was nearly tempted to have a go. Next time I am sure he will.”
