JordanSport Mustang Beefs Up For Spa
Encouraging Mallory Test

Stuart Scott reports that the CBT backed Ford Mustang has undergone a serious overhaul by JordanSport in an attempt to extract more performance from the car.

Since its last outing at Rockingham, a rear wing and front splitter have been added and the car lowered; giving it a more aggressive appearance. But the changes appear to have borne fruit, after a test yesterday at Mallory Park on old rubber saw the car a second quicker than its previous visit to the circuit, which was conducted on new tyres.

Scott has now recovered fully from the Silverstone crash which prevented him racing at Rockingham, and he will share the car with Steve Wood and Mike Jordan in the three-hour evening race at the Belgium circuit.

The three drivers also gave the ex-Richard Lloyd Camaro a shakedown at Silverstone recently.

The car is now in the bodyshop for a freshen-up prior to the Tour Britannia, which takes place at the beginning of September.
